It's so sad about Neoprenes. They're all so unique, but sadly they so rarely find a mate. We don't normally associate sadness and loneliness with these happy-go-lucky creatures but the unfortunate fact is that most Neoprenes live a life of solitude, often ending in alcohol or drug related declines.

Yes – K-Y Jelly and Pleasure Pack condoms. I simply cannot imagine either one of my grandmother’s having these items in their medicine cabinet, let alone for sale at a garage sale, complete with a price sheet printed and displayed.

I went to Walgreen's yesterday to pick up some odds and ends, which included a box of store-brand Band-Aids. I didn't notice anything was amiss (I was carrying a bunch of other items and trying not to drop them all) until I got home. When I picked up the box, I immediately felt that it was too light to be full. And I was right--only 18 strips actually made it home with me.

I have to wonder: Who came stumbling in, bleeding, looking to yank 12 Band-Aids? I'm thinking that would be a little suspicious as the blood trail would lead right to you. I'm also thinking that if you need 12 at one time, you should probably go to a hospital. Then again, maybe you and your 11 friends all have one minor injury each. What on earth have you all been doing? And if you're going to steal them, why not go for the name brand?

To me, this one is both funny and sad. It's funny for obvious reasons. It's sad b/c this is supposedly a great restaurant. The chef has worked in some great Chinese restaurants in San Fransisco. With that ridiculous sign, I fear lots of people will pass this place by. I would. I plan to try the place out. Supposedly, the menu has some text explaining why it's called a Tapas Cafe. If a friend wouldn't have pointed the place out, I would never even gone in. Usually when a place has more than one cuisine, everything suffers.

I have oh so many stories I can share about Walgreens. You just never know what you'll find there, like J's contribution of "Ginormous" koosh balls.

Today I want to share the encounter of the credit card machine being broken and the cash till being short so they "made up" prices for items depending on which dollar bill I would be paying with and the change available in the till. They did this item by item with the manager watching the cashier and approving each "price" made up for the items.

They also gave me a handwritten receipt for each item; by the end of my basket, which was only four items, I paid $1 for a box of tissues, but had used all the American money in my wallet, so the they accepted the Canadian money I happened to have in my wallet.

Somehow I feel something suspicious was going on here. Either that or they seriously need a new system in case of credit machine failure.

Yesterday I had some help running a few errands and decided I was hungry for breakfast (I know, newsworthy, but I don't plan on making a habit out of this so don't get too excited C, coffee still counts as breakfast with me)

This seemed like a good option at the time until I saw this:

I was there at 9am, I don't know if there was a bagel robbery or what, but that seems awfully early to run out of bagels.

I know. I was surprised too, when I saw them while in line at PetSmart — you know, where they keep the impulse buys. In this case, a $124 impulse buy.

I just had to send you a link to this photo I took at Walgreens and put on Flickr. Apparently Walgreens has to lock up their Head & Shoulders shampoo!! What??!!

This is what the sign says:

So many people steal Head & Shoulders shampoo that it is affecting Walgreens' bottom line?!! WOW. That is a lot of freaking shampoo.
